This is one of my favourite verses. I LOVE LOVE Marianne and this resonates with me in every way.
Who are we not to be brilliant???
LOVE this quote!!!!!
“Be yourself. Life is precious as it is. All the elements for your happiness are already here. There is no need to run, strive, search or struggle. Just Be.”
— Thich Nhat Hanh
That is what I feel….HOPE…when I think about 2013 and it’s expectations and possibilities, all that comes to mind is HOPE. I have such hope for this year. 2012 had it’s bright moments but overall it was not good. It started out very low and had it’s peaks and valleys till the bitter end. In my 48 years of life I have never been so eager for the holiday season and the demise of 2012 to come to an end. I have always been one who approached the end with sadness and dreaded January with it’s lack of anticipatory events. But this time I can’t wait for the New Year to start! I feel as if it has such possibilities, such opportunities and challenges that will make it a remarkable and memorable year. I don’t want to waste a moment of it. Today I sit here and start by the organizing and sorting of it all. I don’t do resolutions but I do make lists of Aspirations and I do appreciate the latest “idea” found on the blogs or Pinterest, so myself, along with a couple of friends are going to do this idea, The Jar of Good Things. I am starting mine today and I am fortunate to have the old vintage canning jars that belonged to my dear mother in law Verna who passed away earlier this year. I discovered them accidentally yesterday while in my garage, there they were amongst some of her old country records and boxed mementos. I didn’t even know they existed and when I saw them I knew the Jar of Good Things had to happen. So I am gifting one of them to my dear friend Tanya who linked me to this idea in the first place and then I am starting one not just for me but Mickey as well. Men, (or at least my man) do not always see things as optimistically as woman and also do not always see the little things as memorable celebrations…but I will change that!! So I can’t wait to start and I already have one thing to put in the jar! Beginning this project in the first place!!! That is a GOOD THING!
Good to know
I want this book!!!!!
